The news is devastating on the damage that “Sandy” has inflected. Some folks have lost everything except their lives. Others will take years to recover, if recovery is possible. Many of us, unaffected by Sandy, are wondering what we can do to help.<\/p>\n
It occurred to me that a lot of us, all over the U.S., have guest rooms in our homes.\u00a0 We have unused space that could be used for shelter. We have extra food in our cupboards.\u00a0 Maybe some of the churches could compile a list of those willing to open their hearts and homes in emergency situations.\u00a0 Not everyone has relatives or friends to help out. Not everyone has insurance.<\/p>\n
True Hospitality is a beautiful thing.\u00a0 It is a gift. It is a blessing to those who receive it and a blessing to those who give it.<\/p>\n
