Bob picked the cabbages, hauled them onto the porch and from there I took over. With a little help from my friends, the cabbage has become Kraut.\u00a0 It is bubbling away in the old crock.\u00a0 In a few weeks, I will be canning Kraut. It is a rite of passage, celebrated every year since we moved to the farm. The canning jars are washed and ready, and my kitchen smells like Kraut.\u00a0 It makes me Happy! Happy!
