What I enjoy most about the annual tomato sauce project is having fresh herbs to cut up and fold into the sauce.\u00a0 It always comes out different.\u00a0 This mornings sauce has fresh basil leaves . Last week, I made the sauce with Oregano and chives.\u00a0 Sometimes, onions and garlic are included.\u00a0\u00a0 I could just do plain old tomato sauce, but that would be boring.\u00a0 My sauce will be frozen for winter use and made into things like\u00a0 Spaghetti sauce, chili, soup, stew, and more.\u00a0 The kitchen smells like an Italian restaurant.
