My kitchen has become a soup kitchen. It is organized for the annual processing of homemade soups.\u00a0 When the wind is howling around the back door, the sky is gray, and the snow is three feet deep, I will be so glad that there is a supply of\u00a0 homegrown and homemade soup. The “soup kitchen” happens every fall. I chop, stir, season, and create new flavors of soup.\u00a0 Today, is for Butternut squash curry soup, bean and turkey ham soup, potato and cheese soup, and chicken soup with Amish noodles.<\/p>\n
The big kettles are bubbling away and the smells are incredible.\u00a0 When it is all cooked, I will bag it up and put it in the freezer.<\/p>\n
