Cornucopia
The Horn of Plenty or cornucopia is generally recognized as a symbol of harvest or thanksgiving. The Milk and Honey Farm Logo depicts a harvest theme, but LOOK INSIDE. There is a glass of wine and a loaf of bread. This is symbolic of a different type of Harvest.
Milk and Honey Farm was named for the promised land as depicted in the Old Testament scripture. "He has brought us to this place, and has given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey." Deut 26:9
It is our hope that those who see the logo grasp its true meaning. The way to their own promised land is through the wine and the bread symbolic of the shed blood and broken body of Jesus Christ.
That's Christian lingo for something that is really quite simple. Here's what it means. Everyone of us has sinned and fallen short of the excellent plan God had made for our lives. Since God is holy, He cannot look upon sin, especially upon the sins of people like you and me. He is disappointed in us, but still loves us and wants us to be with Him. To remove this impasse, he sent His son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to live as a human. Jesus overcame sin by not giving in to it. He was killed for his efforts, but since he had no sin, death had no right to keep Him and He came back to life.
We, in turn, can share in His victory over sin and over death in three simple steps: First, recognize that you have sinned and are not living up to God's best for your life. Second, believe in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead. (You want to do the same, don't you?) Third, say aloud that you want to freely accept what Jesus did for you and accept God's better plan. It may sound too simple or too crazy, but it really works - AND there is an eternal life guarantee. For free!
Maybe you think that God won't accept you until you clean up your act. Actually, God delights in helping those who are in the mud pits of life because they are so grateful to get out. Perhaps you know someone who is in a church and says one thing but does another. You don't want to be like that person. God deals with each one of us as individuals, so He'll find the time and place to deal with that person, too. So, what do you say? Why don't you do the three steps now?
The bread and wine is symbolic of the new life we have in Jesus Christ and celebrates what Jesus did for us.
