I Saw an Eagle

Yesterday, I saw a huge eagle. It was close to our place. It is special when I have an “eagle sighting day”.  Chickens live in flocks and scratch around on the ground. Eagles soar high and fly alone. I love eagles.

Date Night

Last night was a “Date night” at Milk and Honey Farm. We went out to the barn and played with the lambs. We docked their tails, gave shots, and put in ear tags.  It was less than romantic! Sometimes our date night is a trip to Fleet Farm for supplies for the sheep, ie salt […]

Cowboy

I think there is a little bit of “Cowboy” in each of us. It is an attitude! Even me,  an old lady with a poodle named “Pilgrim”.

Mud Room

I am  suspicious of any person who has a spotless mud room! Our mud room has dog tracks, Bob’s barn boots, my egg basket, old newspapers, a cardboard box filled with canning jars, a full trash can, and mud!  It is the real deal!

Welcome Robin

I just saw my first Robin of the season. Wondering if he knows that there are 8-12 inches of snow predicted. I hope he finds shelter from the  approaching storm. He looks like a survivor. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be in Minnesota this time of year.  The first robin always makes me smile. Robins announce the […]
