Our sweet Josie is gone. She passed away last night. Of all our Great Pyrenees, she was the sweetest and most gentle. When my grandson, Michael, who has Downs Syndrome, was afraid of dogs, it was Josie who taught him to trust. I will always remember walking with Michael and with Josie on the lead in front of our house.В  She seemed to sense when someone was fragile.

Josie was one of the “GrandPyrs”. The grand dog of four of our original Great Pyrenees. She was a tender Mother to her puppies and guardian for our lambs. I am thankful that she lived with us on Milk and Honey Farm and fulfilled her role as guardian and friend. She will rest in the pasture behind the house with the rest of our good dogs who have left us. She will meet Boomer, Honey Bear, Molly, Baron, Ginger, Kodi, Shiloh, and Bella. My heart hurts and tears will come.

My sympathies on losing Josie. I think she is the mother to our Lacey . Lacey is very sweet and easy going. Thanks for raising such nice pups.

So sorry to hear about your sweet Josie. She is mother to my Willow, one of two pyrs I was blessed to take home from the Milk & Honey Farm almost 4 years ago. Willow looks a great deal like Josie, and is a very sweet, beautiful and gentle girl.

Sorry to read about your Josie passing. I also had a pyr named Josie. I was forced to give her away because she would not stay in the fence last Sunday. Pray for me. I can’t quit crying for her.
