Visiting

This morning, I went visiting. With my basket full of treats ( dog biscuits and raw eggs for the Pyrs), I actually made it out to the barn. It is no fun having the “crud” and I have missed all my animal friends.  Sunday’s puppies have grown and grown and grown. That is what Great […]

Puppy Surprise

Ginger is our oldest Great Pyrenees female. She is eleven. Ginger is a full time guardian of our flocks and herds. She even likes the barn cats and they love to curl up beside her.  She has mothered many beautiful puppies in her day. Her last litter was three years ago. The dogs that patrol […]

Therapy

I need info on how to get in touch with folks who train dogs for therapy or companion dogs.  Wondering if the “Wounded Warrior” program does this. Does any one have information ?

Life

Wrapping Christmas presents, baking Ginger cookies, watching after 10 new born Great Pyrenees puppies, talking to friends on the phone, and getting ready to gather the eggs for more cookies. Life is good.

Great Pyrenees Puppies Have Arrived

Our Great Pyrenees puppies arrived last night. Sunday and Boaz are the parents. This is Sunday’s first litter. She did really GOOD!  The pups are fat and healthy. Interesting People

I am meeting some really interesting folks. They are all driving a long way to Minnesota to pick up their new Great Pyrenees puppies. One lady flew to Minneapolis, rented a car, drove to the farm, and drove her two female Pyr pups back to Reno, Nevada.  Tomorrow, a man from New Jersey, will be […]

Church, Puppy Baths, and Packers

Yesterday, we went to Church, bathed the Great Pyrenees puppies, and watched the Packers play foot ball. Does it get any better than that? The pups were born on Sept. 7th  to Jessie and Boaz. We had a good old time scrubbing, blow drying and brushing the pups. Their pictures are on the web site. […]

Cougars

Our local friends who hunt have spotted Cougars in the area.  The hunters have the trail cam rigs and have the photos of the cougars.  We have had several e mail and phone calls from folks who have small pets. They are interested in our Great Pyrenees dogs for guards. ( for pets and children)  […]

Pyr Pups Ready.

The two female Pyr pups are bathed, brushed, and all ready. Today, they begin their big adventure on a road trip  to Nevada. We are waiting for their new owner to arrive. I have already said “good by” to them.  They will have a great life with a nice lady in Nevada.  We will have […]
