Garden
The garden activities have slowed down. The kitchen is now my “headquarters.” I finished canning grape juice and have frozen gallons of tomato sauce. Today, I will begin baking the Butternut squash for freezing. Maybe I can get to the apple sauce too. It feels like fall and I am ready to be finished with […]

Grape Juice
Today, I will be canning grape juice. My hands will be busy. My heart will be somewhere else. Today, I will be praying. I do not like what is happening in the world right now. It seems to me to be like a very large pot of hot water about to boil over. My sympathy […]

Hanging Herbs
I am hanging bunches of Herbs from the kitchen ceiling today. Basil, Sage, Oregano, Parsley, Thyme, and Tarragon, will make the whole house smell wonderful! I cook with herbs a lot. It is handy to have them hanging in the kitchen.

Love this!
Ezek. 34:16 And will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick. God is so able to do this. Let Him.

Tomato Monday
Today is officially “Tomato Monday”. There are many, many, five gallon buckets of Brandy wine and Amish Paste tomatoes lined up on my back porch. Bob picked and picked and picked. Some of the Brandy wines weigh over 2# apiece. Today is the day they graduate into tomato sauce. All four burners on my stove […]

Minnesota State Fair
We visited the Minnesota State fair yesterday. People are more interesting to look at than the exhibits. I am a “people watcher”. For a while, we sat on a green bench and watched people. My observations were not all positive. Most of the people we saw were wolfing down ultimate forms of JUNK. Foods that […]
