Old Ewe
The old sheep is down. She has not moved for three days. She may be on her way to a better pasture.В I told her this morning that it is okay to go. I will take care of her baby lamb. The lamb is a ewe, her Mother’s replacement. She seems to be content to sit on my lap and drink from a baby bottle.В The old sheep has had a “good run” at our farm. She was born here and grazed these pastures.В I know that there is a season for life and a season for death. Right now, it is a sad thing for me to watch.

It’s sad when we know that the end is near and we want to help them up to stand again…not so. It’s time to let go and send them off to their Keeper. Do you think we’ll catch up with them someday in the better place? dj
