When All Else Fails — Get A Cat!

cat2_lgWe tried traps. We tried bait. Yet, the rodent problem in the basement of the old farm house has continued. В  The current issue seems to be Pocket gophers.В  It, or they, spring the mouse traps and the rap traps.В  They make noise in the basement and leave big poops in corners. When all else failed, we got a cat. He is a huge long haired Tom Cat. His current domain is the basement, where he is careful to use his litter box. Cat has been here for three days and I have not seen or heard signs of the rodent population.

cat1_lg Time will tell if he is the solution.В  So far, so good. He likes to sit on my lap and prrrrrr so we will be friends. Pilgrim, the poodle, has not met the cat. However, he does know that I smell like there has been a cat on my lap. I named the cat “Genghis”. It seems to be an appropriate name for a regal killer cat.В  To be continued—
