Square Foot Gardening

Bob is mixing the “soil” blend for our square foot garden boxes. He will use 1/3 Peat Moss, 1/3 Pearlite, and 1/3 of our own composted materials. While we have a 10,000 square foot main garden, we enjoy planting the square foot gardens with herbs, flowers, and vegetables. The harvest is amazing. Each garden is four foot by four foot and about 7 inches deep. One box will keep one person in fresh produce for a season. We posted plans for the boxes and directions for building on our web site. www.milkandhoneyfarm.com. I think everyone should grow some of their own food. The square foot boxes make it easy FOR THOSE WITH LIMITED SPACE.
