Leftovers
We had a beautiful Thanksgiving day with out of town friends. Their children were delightful and the food wonderful! I love to visit these special people on Thanksgiving.
However, the problem about going away for Thanksgiving is that we do not have any leftovers to nibble. So today, I am cooking a turkey. It is stuffed with my famous mushroom dressing and the cranberry sauce is cooling in the refrig. We will eat off of this turkey all week end.
This is a double blessing. Yesterday, we enjoyed our friends. Today, we will celebrate the “leftovers”.  Yum!

I will
I will say “Merry Christmas” to every one I speak to. The check out lady at the grocery store, the man who picks up our trash, my neighbors and friends, the people I see at church, they will all hear it. Last year, we bought a new sofa at a local department store. I said “Merry Christmas” to the sales lady as we were leaving the store. She looked surprised and shocked. Then she smiled at me.
If anyone wishes me the “Happy Holiday” thing, they will hear a” Merry Christmas” answer from me. I may even explain to them WHY it is a Merry Christmas. It is always good to have a plan in place!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving and a “Merry Christmas” from me and mine at Milk and Honey Farm.

Thanksgiving Things.
Thanksgiving is near. I have been pondering about all my “thankful things”. There are so many, they are impossible to count. People seem to think that the national debt is a big issue. My debt to the Lord is much, much, larger. Thinking that it is better to focus on what we are thankful for, than to focus on how much money the government owns somebody.
I am grateful for my blessings and I know who is responsible for them.

First Snow
The first official snow of the season is happening right now. This morning, we picked up our Rams from their summer pasture and brought them home to visit the ewes. They are visiting as I type. The puppies are having a blast rolling around in the snow and eating snow flakes. Bob is out in his winter gear. He even came in for his fur bomber hat. No more nice fall weather. Everything will be white until next April.
Welcome to Minnesota.
