Interesting People
I am meeting some really interesting folks. They are all driving a long way to Minnesota to pick up their new Great Pyrenees puppies. One lady flew to Minneapolis, rented a car, drove to the farm, and drove her two female Pyr pups back to Reno, Nevada. Tomorrow, a man from New Jersey, will be driving straight through to pick up his all white male Pyr pup. This morning, a couple of folks from Kansas met their new female Badger marked pup.
I find that people who will make the effort to get here will take good care of their puppies. These folks all seem to have a sense of adventure and to be out of the ordinary. They seem to be independent and to know what they want. I like that. None of these people have livestock. They simply want my big dogs to be a companion and to take care of business. There is something very comforting to have a Pyr draped in front of the back door at night. It is reassuring to know that the yard is being patrolled and watched over by the big dogs.
It may be a sign of the times that more pups are being sold to “city people” who want added security for their families.

Kitchen Office Open
In the Spring, I plant the garden. In the summer, I pull weeds. In the Fall, I pick vegetables. The garden is my “office”. As of now, my “office” has moved into the kitchen. From now to Spring, I get to cook all the things that were grown. Sometimes it is Indian food, sometimes it is Thai. Other times it is Italian food. Occasionally, I do the “down home country cooking”. I like to cook , so this is fun for me. We save a lot of money and eat things that are good for us.
Tonight, it is leg of lamb, with roasted onions and potatoes. Garlic and Rosemary are the primary seasonings. Baked Sugar Dumpling squash are in the oven too. Dessert is a pumpkin custard. Everything was raised here on the farm. Leftovers, tomorrow, will be an Indian lamb curry.
It is a huge blessing to enjoy the work of my hands. God is good!

Happy Birthday, John
Today, is my eldest son’s birthday. What a blessing he has been to me and to so many others. He came with many abilities and gifts. One of his greatest gifts is to be able to say the right thing at the right time– words that encourage and built up the listener. I am so glad that I got to be his Mom.
Happy Birthday, John!

Like It
I like it when friends get together over dinner, for the purpose of talking about the Lord. There is no agenda, no program, no entertainment. Wishing more folks would do this on a regular basis. It blesses my soul to be part of such a group. Sometimes, I think that the Lord, Himself, attends such gatherings, just to spend time with His kids.( Smile)

I am reading a book by Bill Johnson, “When Heaven Invades Earth”. This is cutting edge material. I highly recommend it.

Praying
Today, I will pray for the daughter of one of my friends. I do not know the problems, but I do know the” problem solver”. I will surround my friend’s daughter with the Word of God, and ask the Lord to perform His Word.
Heb. 13:5 I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Matt. 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Church, Puppy Baths, and Packers
Yesterday, we went to Church, bathed the Great Pyrenees puppies, and watched the Packers play foot ball. Does it get any better than that?
The pups were born on Sept. 7th to Jessie and Boaz. We had a good old time scrubbing, blow drying and brushing the pups. Their pictures are on the web site. www.milkandhoneyfarm.com There are males and females available, both Badger marked and all white. Beautiful! (especially when they are clean)
