My first Amish tomato plant was discovered on Saturday. In another couple of weeks, I will begin to spray the baby plants with a spray made from rotten fish and […]

The serious planting of heirloom seeds has begun. Bob has the new bulbs installed in the grow lights and is filling up trays of potting soil. My kitchen has turned into a planting station. There are trays of soil on the floor, containers of seeds on the counters, watering cans, plant markers, and towels to […]

Plants and Puppies
Plants and puppies will keep me busy today. The first tiny plants have emerged from the potting soil. They are seeking the light provided by the grow lights hanging over them. Today, I will water them all. It is a beautiful thing to plant seeds and watch them grow. Most of the food we are […]

More Seeds
Bakers Creek Heirloom Seeds has a great catalog. I would also recommend Seeds of Change and Territorial Seed Company as good sources for beautiful, informative, seed catalogs. It doesn’t cost anything to look at pictures.

Immune Booster
One of my favorite herbal teas that is said to boost the immune system contains Echinacea tops and roots, Nettles, and Peppermint. I don’t know about the immune claim, but I do know the tea is good. I add 1 teaspoon of honey to my tea, prop my feet up and relax. All good!
