Final Word
Our Pastor is out of town and I get to do Sunday’s message. The opening scripture will be Ps. 121:2 –“My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.” The closing scripture will be Ps.46:7 –“The Lord of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.”
That says it all. Smiling now!

Hot Peppers
One very important thing that I learned the hard way is to wear gloves when I cut up hot peppers. I grow Jalapeno peppers, Cayenne Peppers, Indian Peppers, and Thai peppers. The current project is to make Candied Jalapeno peppers. These have got to be my all time favorite thing to put on top of pizza. They are sweet, spicy, hot, and drain the sinus!

When I Hear
When I hear of all the bad things that are happening, my response is always the same. “Come quickly, Lord Jesus.” I will “Watch and Pray”.

Tomato Sauce
My stove top is full of pots of simmering tomato sauce. What I enjoy most about the annual tomato sauce project is having fresh herbs to cut up and fold into the sauce. It always comes out different. This mornings sauce has fresh basil leaves . Last week, I made the sauce with Oregano and chives. Sometimes, onions and garlic are included.  I could just do plain old tomato sauce, but that would be boring. My sauce will be frozen for winter use and made into things like Spaghetti sauce, chili, soup, stew, and more. The kitchen smells like an Italian restaurant. YUM!

Celebrating Labor Day on the Farm
The Labor Day Celebration includes cleaning the puppy kennels and adding new straw, baking Bob’s weekly supply of healthy, granola, turning two five gallon buckets of tomatoes into sauce, making Pesto, changing sheets and doing a lot of laundry, etc. etc. etc. I never could figure out why they call it Labor Day while most folks get the day off and have fun. At Milk and Honey Honey Farm, we really know how to celebrate Labor Day–Just Saying!

Spending Time
I spend my time , now, in the garden and the kitchen. My hands are busy picking, freezing, and dehydrating the harvest from our garden. I pray as I work, sometimes out loud, and sometimes silently. It is the time of harvest, harvest of food and harvest of souls.
Never before in my life, have I felt such an urgent need to pray. I pray for my family, my country, the nations, and for Israel. I pray to the “Lord of the Harvest.” Jesus Christ is His Name.
