More Puppies on The way
Boaz ( our Great Pyrenees male) is making more beautiful puppies. The object of his attention is Mocca. The pups will be born in April and be ready to go to their new homes in June. Ever since we put up the pictures on the web site of the December litter, we have been getting calls about our next batch of pups. Some folks have already sent in their deposits to hold a puppy. We place the pups in the order that the deposits come in. There are pictures of Boaz and Mocca on the Pyr page of our web site. There are also pictures of their last litter of puppies. Mocca will be happy to have all her special food that goes with carrying puppies. (Lamb and rice patties, raw eggs, and cod liver oil on top of the dry dog food. ) Yum!

Puppy Meets His New Family
There seemed to be an instant connection with this puppy and his new family. When the boys and Mom went upstairs, the pup tried to follow. He has not learned to climb steps. The pup waited patiently at the foot of the stairs for the boys to return. He really wanted to follow his new family.
I love “puppy pick up” day. Each one is special!

Puppy and People
Today, another great Pyrenees puppy met his new people. He will travel home with them to Wisconsin. They came equipped with paper towels and handy wipes. That is always a great idea when traveling with a puppy. ( I learned that the hard way.) The pup looks a lot like his sire, Boaz. He is Asher’s grandson. The family promised to send updates and photos of the the pup. It will be fun for me to see him grow. He will be a very big boy when full grown.
It is a blessing for me to be part of the “puppy meets his people” process. Smile!

Plants and Puppies
Plants and puppies will keep me busy today.
The first tiny plants have emerged from the potting soil. They are seeking the light provided by the grow lights hanging over them. Today, I will water them all. It is a beautiful thing to plant seeds and watch them grow. Most of the food we are eating now came from our garden. My little plants will become next winters provision.
There are two female Great Pyrenees puppies camped out in the back hall way. Today, they will go to their new home. They are snoozing now and one of them snores. The pups sleep, eat, poop, and puddle. I have had to clean up only one serious mess, but it is early yet. They will be picked up at 1:00p.m. It will be good for them to be empty before they travel.
Puppies and plants, plants and puppies, it is good. The Lord has blessed the works of my hands.

Curry
The cold weather (zero degrees on the back porch) means Indian curry for supper. It is hot and full of exotic spices. I guarantee it will warm you up on the coldest of days. It may fight off just about any form of virus. The hot cayenne peppers breathe fire, and seems to annihilate germs.
It has been my experience that upper and lower respiratory virus flee from my HOT curry. I heard about this
“Curry cure” from Dr. Donald Whitaker years ago. It works for me.
I may write a book someday, “The Cure is in My Kitchen.”

Cute
There is nothing cuter than a Pyr puppy. This baby was born on December 15, and weights 20 pounds!  Happiness is hugging a clean puppy who smells good!

Grooming Pyr Pups
Today is the day the Great Pyrenees puppies will be cleaned, brushed, and cuddled.
They have been outside in the barn kennel with Sunday (Mom). I am waiting for some friends from Minneapolis to arrive and to help with” Pyr puppy clean up project”. The puppies will be groomed and petted and petted and petted. Each one will be cuddled and held close. They seem to enjoy it, but not as much as the people involved.
My kitchen has been turned into a puppy play ground. Everything that they could mess up or destroy has been put up. Paper towels and my mop are handy. These babies don’t know a thing about house manners!

Reading
I am reading Jack Deere’s book “Surprised by The Power of the Spirit”. He was one of the main speakers at a seminar in Minneapolis, yesterday. It was good, really good! The book will be a blessing. Just so you know.

More Seeds
Bakers Creek Heirloom Seeds has a great catalog. I would also recommend Seeds of Change and Territorial Seed Company as good sources for beautiful, informative, seed catalogs.
It doesn’t cost anything to look at pictures.
