The Cat, Continued —
My adventure with the huge Tom cat continues as he and I adjust to each other. He is assigned the rodent patrol in the basement. What is interesting is that our indoor Great Pyrenees and the Cat get along just fine. They ignore each other. However, Pilgrim, the poodle, does not like the cat and […]

When All Else Fails — Get A Cat!
We tried traps. We tried bait. Yet, the rodent problem in the basement of the old farm house has continued.  The current issue seems to be Pocket gophers. It, or they, spring the mouse traps and the rap traps. They make noise in the basement and leave big poops in corners. When all else […]

There Was A Creature In My Basement
There was a creature in my basement. I know this because something has taken big bites out of my beautiful acorn squash. The foolish creature was eating all my carefully grown organic squash. Farm Truck
Our farm truck is an old Dodge Van. Bob and his farm hand are loading up two old sheep to be recycled. ( butcher shop)Â The seats have been removed from the Van and the sheep get “put” in the back. It is interesting to watch. Maybe, some day, we will have a pick up […]
