Walking
The sun is shinning and it is bright out there. I am contemplating climbing into my long johns, leashing up a couple of the big dogs and going for a long walk. The air is crisp and clean. It smells like winter. The poodle will have to stay home. He went to the groomer last […]

Spot On
The great Pyrenees puppies are almost a week old. Right now, they are snuggled up against their Mom on a warm blanket in the basement whelping box. I can almost see them growing. They are round and fat and happy! My favorite pup has distinct Badger markings and more spots on her back and rump […]

When dealing with great Pyrenees who live outside with sheep, this is a handful. To top it off, Pilgrim the poodle is also groomed. He looks like a poodle again […]

Bad Rooster
I left the front kennel gate open this morning when I took the big girls for a walk. When we got home, the rooster and one of his hens were busily eating the dog food in the kennel. Not good. It took a while, but after circling the dog house and yelling a lot, I […]

“Blessed be the Name of the Lord. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. He gives and takes away. He gives and takes away. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.” I am singing today.

Great Pyreenes Update
Tesse was Baron’s companion in front of the house. For years, they ran together, napped together, and were best buddies. Baron died under one of the big cedar trees. Tess has been sleeping right on the spot where he died. Her big eyes look so sad. Tomorrow, I will take her to the groomer. She […]
