Concern
My concern for Israel is rising by the hour. I have been praying.
It is good to remember that God is in control. He will protect Israel. Amen and Amen.

Milk and Honey Farm Update
We named our new ram “Jolly”. Being in a separate pen from the girls, he has not lived up to the name. This morning, Bob put him out in the pasture with our ewes. Now he is “Jolly,” very “Jolly”.
Josie, our gentle Great Pyrenees, is due to have her pups this week. She is very big and her “spouts” are filling up. I sure hope she delivers soon. We are having company from the cities over for dinner on Friday. More company is arriving for an early Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. It would be difficult to supervise the puppy delivery in either event.
It would be good if Josie had those puppies today. Fifty years ago today, My eldest son was born. We could name a puppy after him.
Happy birthday, John!

FYI
God answers prayer in three ways. He can say “Yes”. He can say “No”. He can say,” Not Yet”.
Well then???

The Way It Is
If people were looking to an election to make things better, they were looking in the wrong place. Only God can fix what is broken in this country. If there was prayer before the election, now is the time for more prayer.
The Lord has not forsaken the United States. He is permitting us to come to the end of ourselves. He is leading us into a place of “no compromise”. It is an exciting time to be a part of His plan and His purpose.
Our God Reigns! Our God Reigns! Our God Reigns!
“If my people which are called by my Name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven , and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

I will be watching and waiting with the whole world for election results . Regardless of who the next president is, Jesus is Lord. My God rules and reigns.
It is well with my soul.

Sandy
The news is devastating on the damage that “Sandy” has inflected. Some folks have lost everything except their lives. Others will take years to recover, if recovery is possible. Many of us, unaffected by Sandy, are wondering what we can do to help.
It occurred to me that a lot of us, all over the U.S., have guest rooms in our homes. We have unused space that could be used for shelter. We have extra food in our cupboards. Maybe some of the churches could compile a list of those willing to open their hearts and homes in emergency situations. Not everyone has relatives or friends to help out. Not everyone has insurance.
True Hospitality is a beautiful thing. It is a gift. It is a blessing to those who receive it and a blessing to those who give it.
I will pray today, for the victims of Sandy, and also for those who are willing and able to help.

Waiting and Watching
The whole country is focused on the East Coast. Folks are loading up on water, food, and gas to get ready for what could be “the big one”.
I am wondering what the effect of “Sandy” will be on the election and the economy.
It is a good time to Pray.

New Ram Arriving
Bob is fixing up the pen for our new Ram. Our new Polypay ram arrives this afternoon. It will be an event! The hard part is to get the Ram from the back of the Van into his pen on the side of the barn. He probably won’t want to go into the pen. He would probably rather visit our Ewes. There will be NO visiting until mid November.
Our neighbor is coming over to help Bob wrestle the Ram. I will take pictures and record the event. This is the kind of thing we do in the country on a Saturday afternoon. Dallas was never like this.
The new Ram will be a permanent addition to our flock of pure bred Polypay sheep. I will name him “Jolly”. He will be jolly when he meets all his girls.

Comercials
The commercials on T.V for the upcoming election are an insult to the American people. Do they really think we are that stupid?
