Not Impressed
The Great Pyrenees puppies are one month old. Bob trimmed their toe nails and I wormed them. All puppies eat disgusting things.
They were NOT impressed!!!

Trusting
Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Saturday at Milk and Honey Farm
Bob is doing chores, as big, fluffy snow flakes swirl around him. He just came in with a basket of eggs. Black bean soup is bubbling on the stove and the whole house smells good. Today, we take down the Christmas tree and watch football games.
The poodle is content to snooze on the sofa. The simple days are a blessing. The peace and quietness around us is a beautiful thing. It is good to live in the country, in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

I Don’t Understand
I don’t understand why billions of dollars in aid, sent to Haiti two years ago, is still unused. I don’t get it why folks are still living in tents. The Red Cross has built over 100,000 homes, but this is a small drop in a very large bucket. I would like to know what is preventing the aid getting to the people who will do something! The aid was given to help, not sit there.
My solutions to both of these problems are as follows:
1.Send some “occupy people” to Haiti with hammers, nails, and garden seeds. The rule would be “No work, no eat”!
2.Pray for the people in Haiti. Let God handle it. He gets things done!

Israel
Do you know that Israel has emblazoned above about all public buildings in Israel the words “NEVER AGAIN”?
This is not just a slogan. They mean it. I am glad.

ROSEMARY
The whole house smells like Rosemary. I have been trimming the new growth ends off of all the Rosemary plants. There are three big “Mother” Rosemary plants and six pots of babies. The babies were started from cuttings off of the “Mother” plants last summer. They all will go out to the herb garden in the spring. Meanwhile, they are growing nicely in the sunny window sills.
Rosemary is one of my favorite herbs, especially in Spaghetti sauce.YUM!

The Christmas Tree
Our Christmas tree is still standing proudly in the corner of the living room. It is holding on tightly to all its needles. We usually take down our tree on New Years day. Not this year. It will probably be put away this week end. Bob takes off the lights and I put away all the glass ornaments. I am thinking about making up a box of ornaments for each of my sons. I have ornaments from the years they were growing up.
We still have all the white lighted candles in each window. They cast a friendly glow over us each evening. I will miss them when we put them away. Bob turned off the big star on the barn last night. It looks dark out there now. The first year we moved to the farm, he built a huge (8 foot by 8 foot star with light rays streaming from the bottom. It looks really special when the sheep are standing under it.
Nostalgia comes each year when it is time to put away the Christmas things. That lasts until I start to order the garden seeds out of the piles of catalogs. My seed orders will be completed this week. That is when the Christmas nostalgia ends and the anticipation of “Garden 2012” starts.
What a Happy thought!
