Happy June

There is a lot going on for us this month. My Grandson is graduating,  my son and his family are visiting, we are both officiating at a wedding, and the garden has begun to produce. Our big project is to pick all the strawberries before the bad birds can get them. That means strawberry shortcake, […]

Now This

The sheep have delivered all their lambs, two litters of puppies have arrived, and I am finished planting “Garden 2012”.  Now this! Isa.40:31  Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

The Kitten

Bob captured a wild kitten in the barn and gave it to me for taming. Currently, the kitten is living with the rabbits in the hutch. He has learned to sit on my lap and drink milk from a saucer.  I named him ‘Fuzzy”.

The old sheep is down. She has not moved for three days. She may be on her way to a better pasture.  I told her this morning that it is okay to go. I will take care of her baby lamb. The lamb is a ewe, her Mother’s replacement. She seems to be content to […]

Animal Updates

Number 8 and Number 9 Polypay lambs were born last night. We had plans to go to a concert. That changed big time! The only concert we heard was the musical sound of sheep making the “baaaa” sound out in the barn. Mom and babies are doing good ! The update on the smallest lamb […]

Tiny Twin Lamb

She knows me! When I go out to the barn, she comes charging out to meet me.  She makes “baaaa” noises until I sit in the old lawn chair and make room for her on my lap.  Tiny Twin is up to one half a bottle of lamb milk replacer four times a day.  We […]
